twisting and turning

here we hunt for answers
none would wish find

scarlet skeins fractured falsehoods entwined and encircling empty hearts
razor-edged, raking furrows, carving into tender flesh

caustic musing pumping noxious bile through blighted burning veins,
acid thoughts fill empty shallows tarnishing what good remains

hate within this cauldron seethes
questions now assail a mind
harrowed sick with poisoned seed
